Port of Dublin - Dublin Portroe Terminal
Portroe Stevedores Limited operate the common user terminal on Alexandra Quay East and Ocean pier. Portroe provides services to APL, Coastal, DSL Evergreen, Gracechurch, OOCL and XCL.
The Terminal is equipped with 5 dock mobile cranes. Portroe has commissioned the first three of eight RTG's as part of its €30 investment programme. A further three RTGs came into service in mid-2008. As part of this investment Portroe now has 252 reefer points.
Portroe has also implemented a new container terminal management system with web access available to customers, users, forwarders and hauliers allowing them to manage their cargoes efficiently. Portroe's total investment to date in its container business is €30m and the company is committed to investing a further €20m over the coming years. Portroe is located less than 1 km from the Dublin Port Tunnel.
